remembering a life in 616 square inches

Here's the photo collage I made for Grandpa's funeral. I started it the evening before, so I was worried I would not get it done, but I did...

I started with a 22x28 canvas from Michael's, painted the background and border, and mod podged the pictures on and then over the top to seal it.

It was really neat for me to go through and look at all the photos and learn even more about Grandpa...like the fact that he was a football player as a high schooler in the 1930's. Somehow, I had never heard about that. And he looked pretty tough! He had all the photos labeled and apparently his nickname was "Stonewall"!
